Send form responses to Notion
Every response becomes a page in your Notion database, with each answer in a property of the right type, uploaded files attached, and edits updating the same page. Free on every plan.
Plenty of teams run their work in Notion: a lead tracker, a hiring pipeline, a request board. A form is how new rows get in. Here that’s a step in the form’s workflow: connect Notion once, pick a database, and every response lands in it as a page, on the free plan.
A database in one click, or the one you have
Create a new database from the step and it gets a property for every question, each with the right type, already mapped. Or pick a database you already use: questions are matched to its properties by name, and anything missing is one click away.
Your database stays yours. Nextforms only adds a property when you ask it to, and properties are remembered by Notion’s own id, so renaming or rearranging them in Notion doesn’t break anything.
Every answer in the right type
Numbers go into Number properties, so Notion can sum and sort them. Dates go into Date properties, with the time in your team’s time zone. Choices become Select and Multi-select options, a yes/no becomes a checkbox, and email addresses, phone numbers and links land in their own property types. The response itself can be the page title, linked back to it in Nextforms.
Uploaded files, attached
Files from an upload question are uploaded to Notion and attached to the page, not linked from somewhere else. When a file is too large for your Notion plan, the page is still written and the run tells you which file was left off and why.
Edits update the same page
When you send a response back for changes and the respondent fixes it, the workflow runs again, and the page written the first time gets the new answers. Only the properties the form writes change, so notes and statuses your team added in Notion stay. Prefer a new page per version? That’s one switch.
Filled in inside Notion
Embed the form in any Notion page with /embed, so people can fill it in
without leaving Notion. The answers land in your database a moment later.
Part of a workflow
The Notion step sits in the same workflow as everything else, so it can:
- write only the responses that pass a condition, such as budget over 5,000
- write to a different database per branch of a route
- run after an approval, so only approved requests reach the board
- send the confirmation email and post to Slack in the same run
Each run shows the page it wrote, and a failed one says why, with a retry once it’s fixed.
Good for
- Lead and client intake: every enquiry as a card on the sales board.
- Hiring: applications with their CV attached, straight into the pipeline.
- Requests and bug reports: submissions as tasks your team can assign.
- Event sign-ups: a guest list you can filter and share.
