Custom domains
Pro teams can serve forms on their own subdomain: forms.yourcompany.com/quote-request instead of forms.nextforms.com/…. Link previews and embeds use your domain too.
Use a subdomain (forms., apply., signup.). The bare domain can’t be used; pointing it at Nextforms would replace your website. Up to three per team.
1. Add the domain
Section titled “1. Add the domain”In the dashboard, click your name at the top right → Settings → Domains. Type forms.yourcompany.com and click Add domain.
It shows as Connecting, with the record to create at your DNS provider:

2. Add the record at your DNS provider
Section titled “2. Add the record at your DNS provider”Where you registered your domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, …), open the DNS records and add the CNAME above.
- Name is the part before your domain. Some providers want the full hostname; follow their example.
- If there’s a proxy or “orange cloud” switch on the record, turn it off.
3. Wait for Connected
Section titled “3. Wait for Connected”Back in Nextforms, the Domains page shows the domain as Connecting and updates by itself, usually within minutes, sometimes a few hours. The certificate is issued for you. When it reads Connected, you’re done.
If it reads Failed, the DNS record is wrong or its proxy is on. Fix the record at your provider, then remove the domain in Nextforms and add it again.
Your first domain becomes the team’s default: share links, QR codes and embed codes switch to it. Old forms.nextforms.com links keep working.
On a form’s Share page, Custom link gives it a short name: forms.yourcompany.com/quote-request. Letters, digits and hyphens; unique per domain.
