Logic and pages

Open a question, and under Show this field choose Only when conditions match. Then add rules on earlier answers, like Do you have a company? equals Yes. Choose whether all or any rules must match; for combinations like “(A and B) or C”, add a group.

  • Rules can use any question that comes before this one, on any page.
  • The operators depend on the question type, the same as in workflow conditions; see the table in Conditions and routes.
  • A Calculated value can drive a rule, like showing a discount note when the total is over 1,000.
  • Content blocks can be conditional too. A Payment question can’t: to charge only in some cases, price it from a calculation that comes to zero otherwise.

An answer to a question that’s hidden isn’t submitted, and a hidden required question doesn’t have to be answered.

Add a Page break from the picker’s Structure section to start a new page at that point. Each page divider has Move up, Move down and Delete page; deleting a page with questions on it asks whether to move them to another page or delete them.

Respondents move with Back and Next; Next checks the current page before moving on. The last page shows Submit (or the payment button on a form that takes payment).

When every question on a page is hidden by its conditions, the page is skipped. There are no other jumps between pages.

Progress shows as text (“Page 1 of 3”), a bar, or not at all: set it under Design → Progress.

From Structure, a Welcome screen adds an intro page before the questions, and a Review screen shows every answer before submitting. The welcome text can hold images and embeds, such as an intro video.
