Review screen

A review screen shows the respondent everything they answered, grouped by page, before the response is sent. Each page has an Edit link, so a typo on page one doesn’t mean starting over. It is free on every plan.

In the builder, open the + menu between any two questions and choose Review screen. It always goes after the last page, whichever menu you used. A Review card appears between your questions and the Ending card. Open it to change the title (the default is “Review your answers”) or add a line of text above the answers. Publish the form.

To remove it, open the card and switch it off.

On the last page the button reads Review instead of Submit. The review lists every question they saw:

  • Questions hidden by logic, hidden fields and content blocks are left out.
  • An optional question they skipped shows as Not answered, so it is easy to spot.
  • Files show by name. Yes/no answers read as Yes or No.

Edit takes them to that page. The button there reads Back to review, so they return straight to the review instead of clicking through the pages in between.

Answers are checked again on the way back. Say a respondent changes “Do you have a pet?” from No to Yes, and that makes a required “Pet’s name” question appear on a later page. Back to review takes them to that question first. Once it’s answered, they’re back on the review. A new question that is optional doesn’t stop them: it shows on the review as Not answered.

The review’s buttons and labels follow the form’s language, like the rest of the form.

With a review screen, the payment is taken on the review, below the answers. Pages before it show the price and a note that payment details come at the end. The respondent checks what they are paying for, then pays in the same place.

If a payment that leaves the page (iDEAL, for example) is refused by the bank, the respondent comes back to the review with the payment ready to try again. The answers are read-only at that point: the response is already saved, and the retry pays for it.
